Tom Yum Soup

the american club demo kitchen. we’re making tom yum siewment i have a little bit of garlic i’m going to chop up, a nice amount of aromatics go into this nice, brothy soup here. a little fresh garlic. turn on our litle kettle here, get this rolling. just a little bit of olive oil to it. then i also have some shalot, some ginger, some thai bird chilis. just add our aromatics here. this starts to form the base of our soup that we’re kind of working toward. this is a shrimp-based soup. shallot, a little ginger. and then our thai bird chilis, this is what controls the heat of our dish. we can add as little or as much as you’d like. i’m going to finely chop these. again, you don’t have to go out of your way to make this really spicy, but it is a more traditional element of the dish. now just a little bit of the chilies to; just to get those aromatics flowing. you should start to smell the gin
