The Florida Governor’s Chef, John Minas is putting the Sunshine state’s flavor on a plate, for a national competition.

(+++ video is on ftp site +++) chef john minas’ dish— features the florida black grouper, with avocado and a spicy shrimp toast. he said it “tastes like the state of florida on a ate.” minas presented his culinary creation to governor rick scott and his wife during a dress rehearsal friday.minas and sou chef carin butler must create and plate 8 portions of the entree within the competition’s one-hour time limit. the dishes will be judged on presentation, originality and flavor.
