forget the recession. the economy does not appear to have put a dent into one of germany’s best known traditions, octoberfest. the germans, it seems, are in a party mood. according to unit credit, they are raising the average price for a leader of beer to a little more than $12. that is up 4% from last year. unit credit says that the recession has not hurt the demand for beer. there also predicting an increase in beer sales after a drop off last year that was blamed in part on bad weather. they are expected to draw more than 6 million guests. that is a lot of people drinking beer. >> the more the merrier, i say.
