bored by burgers and brats and the usual barbecue buffet, whip out your smartphone or i-pad and check out the awesome outdoor cooking apps mike wendland has found. pkg i don’t usually like apps that cost over 99-cents, but at $4.99, the weber grill people have put together an ipad app that is as stunning as thgrli rip ardecis.t s 0 asc berepepl repeforu, ride and saeslo wh w- instructions, videos and the ability to add your own recipes or notes. this app makes me look like a gourmet chef! no ipad? no problem. at the same price, there’s also a weber phone app. this may be more useful since you can use the iphone grill side a lot easier than an ipad. a less expensive app that works with the ipad, iphone, and droid phones is called “grill-it” and at 99 cents for the phones, $1.99 for the ipad, it’s my next favorite, offering up about 150 or so recipes, with more being added weekly. standup
