German Soup

a german lentil sausage soup that is quick, easy, hearty, will fill you up. leftovers are great for lunch, it will freeze well. all that good stuff. i’m starting with lentils, something i don’t cook a lot with. they’re really good for you, really inexpensive, you can pick them up anywhere. but one thing you need to do is rinse them in a col ander, same yada as when you use dried peas, rinse them off and make sure there’s no little seasons or peles that are going to go into your soup. this is two cups, which is one bag. and they’re really good, just something different. i just rinse them off in my colander. and make sure and use a colander that the holes are small enough so your lentils don’t go through. ann was worried about that this morning. she said, are the lentils going to get — are they gonna — looking for my — go right through? they didn’t, worked out perspective. in they go in
