Weekend for food-lovers as thousands travel to downtown Bend for the 11th annual ‘Bite of Bend’
9th annual “bite of bend” driving hundreds downtown. the streets are lined with pretty much any restaurant or food your heart desires — and then some.’ popular restaurants like typhoon, amalia’s, five fusion sit alongside food carts like soupcon and hawaiian shaved ice. a “beer run” and top chef competition round out the fun.. event organizers tell us this is one festival perfectly “catered” to food- loving bendites. ### “and of course everybody’s encouraged to do tastings so you don’t have to spend 8 dollars for a whole meal. you can spend a dollar or two and then that way you can try a lot of flavors and fantastic ingredients from different chefs.” the foodie fun keeps going until 10 o’clock tonight and starts back up from 11 to 7 tomorrow. the “top chef” winner will be announced at 5 o’clock on the main stage. its free but the festival encourages event-goers to give a donation when
