Holiday food drives help stock the food bank, but when the holidays are over, donations dwindle. But — the need always there –365 days a year. Whether it’s a can of food or a dollar, every donation adds up. The food bank supplies Some Place Safe, a domestic violence agency in Trumbull County with canned foods. It’s just one of the manyonations the agency relies on. It too sees donations drop after the holidays. It is always in need of hygiene items. Frozen meals, meat and laundry detergent are always on its wish list too. Both agenices say without the generosity of the community they wouldn’t be able to do what they do.
