Danbury firefighters are making fish tacos for Firehouse Friday’s.
? >> it’s another firehouse friday, and today we shine the spotlight on the danbury fire department, to benefit the connecticut burn center at bridgeport hospital. joing me are asistant fire chief ernie and firefighter kyle. thanks for being here, and thanks for what you do. we are here because you guys have supported the bridgeport burn center in the past. tell me about the fundraiser you had. >> this year we held the anual charity hockey game between the danbury fire department and police department. >> is that competitive? >> it always is, but, of course, the firefighters won. >> there you go. there’s a picture, big turnout. >> that’s the wining team, the danbury fire department. >> what are you making today? >> we’re going to make fish tacos with mahi mahi, topped with a coleslaw, and garnished with avocado, marinated onion and radish. >> i love that. not a typical firehouse fod. >>
