Study calls into question if diet drinks are really the healthier choice
risk of heart attacks and strokes. that’s the disturbing finding of a new study released at a stroke conference. researchers studied 25 hundred people over a ten year period… those who drank diet pop every day had a 48 per cent higher risk of a vascular event, when compared to people who don’t drink any soda. now, researchers stress the results are priminary, and don’t prove that diet sodas cause heart attack or stroke. but taking into account other known risk factors: smoking, drinking, not exercising, high blood pressure… the link remained. the study calls into question, whether diet drinks are really the healthier choice.
