Caramel apple pie
stick necessary! caramel apples are definitely a fall favorite. this pie puts all those flavors together in a whole new way. first up, your crust. you can make your own crust with one of recipes from bhg.com or use one of these rolled refrigerator crusts. since this is a one-crust pie i’m going to finish the edge before we fill it. now we get a delicious crumb topping. i have already mixed together some brown sugar, some rolled oats, and flour. now i’m going to cut in some cold butter. work in that butter until you get a nice, coarse consistency just like this. okay? then you’ll set this aside and get your oven preheated to 375. now we can work on our apples. i have six cups of peeled, thinly sliced cooking apples. here’s flour, sugar, cinnamon and a pinch of salt. so now, put our apples in there, ands to that with this mixture. now we can fill them in the pie plate. looks good to me. no
