BRAVO! Italian restaurant
this morning, we are spicing things up as you can see. you may not be able to tell it is italian style. >> we have a chef with us from fair lane town center. what are we cooking up? >> we have a pasta dish coming off our new menu just launched the menu this week. the dish starts with roasted eggplant. all you want to do is toss it together to get a nice shine on it. >> a little olive oil on the bottom? >> yes. a mix of the pomodoro sauce. >> you can do whatever you want at home? >> yes. any type of red sauce. this pomodoro works best. this has a sweeter taste. fresh diced tomatoes. >> okay. >> it is smelling good already. >> fresh basil. you may want to reduce the liquid out of it. it will give you a more tomato taste. normally this takes six-to- eight minutes. >> you like it aldente? >> yes. i tend to overdo mine. >> the key to this dish is drain all the water out of it. >> a lot of por
