Beef Stew

Beef stew is a combination of beef cuts suitable for slow-cooking together with any combination of vegetables cooked in a liquid and served in the resultant gravy. While water can be used as the beef stew cooking liquid, wine, stock, and beer are also common. Seasoning and flavourings may also be added. Beef stews are typically cooked at a relatively low temperature, allowing flavors to mingle over a number of hours.
